How to check if an AP is running out of TX buffers which leads to dropped packets?

by on ‎07-01-2014 02:35 PM

Run the following command per AP and radio band to check for available TX buffers:

#show ap debug radio-stats ap-name <ap_name> radio 0 advanced | inc Buffer
# show ap debug radio-stats ap-name <ap_name> radio 1 advanced | inc Buffer

Examples:

* Normal AP125 operation:
(mm6000-M3) #show ap debug radio-stats ap-name M3-ap125-1 radio 0 advanced | include Buffer
Avail TX Buffers          512
Dropped No Buffer         0

* AP running out of buffers:
(mm6000-M3) # show ap debug radio-stats ap-name M3-ap125-2 radio 0 advanced | include Buffer
Avail TX Buffers          14
Dropped No Buffer         1007
