How to clear the device IDs cached on the controller?



A:

Use the following command to the device id cache.

clear aaa device-id-cache <all | mac>

 

Example:

(Aruba) #show aaa device-id-cache | include Entries

Device ID Cache Entries : 3094


Command to clear the device IDs cached:
===============================
(Aruba) #clear aaa device-id-cache ?
all                     Clear all entries in the device ID cache
mac                  Clear entry in the device ID cache for MAC address

(Aruba) #clear aaa device-id-cache all

(Aruba) #show aaa device-id-cache | include Entries

Device ID Cache Entries : 0

This is tested on a 7210 controller running Aruba OS 6.4.2.3.
