Aruba Employee

Product and Software: This article applies to ArubaOS 3.1 and later.

In ArubaOS 2.5, the configuration was done using the "EMS Server-ip" command, in addition to the snmp configuration.

In ArubaOS 3.1, the configuration is done using a single command that configures the EMS server as well as the snmpv3 user and host.

MMS configuration in ArubaOS 3.1

#mobility-manager <mms_ip_address> user <mms_user_name> <mms_password>

Optional parameters:

  •  interval: estimated round trip time between switch and trap server.
  •  retry count: number of times trap is retried before giving up.
  •  udp port: udp port for SNMP traps.

Note: No snmp configuration is required.
