Controller Based WLANs

How to configure the front panel ports of an Aruba Controller to pass traffic in cpboot?
Requirement:

By default, when a controller with physical mgmt port (example: 7010, 7205) is in cpboot mode, it will pass traffic only through the mgmt port and not through any of the other ports.

Solution:

If the laptop/switch is connected to any of the front panel ports instead of the mgmt port, we need to enable the front panel ports to have access in the cpboot mode.

Configuration:

To enable front panel ports:

cpboot> setenv serverip <serverIP>
cpboot> setenv ipadddr <ipaddr>
cpboot> setenv netmask <netmask>
cpboot> setenv gatewayip <gateway>
cpboot> pfe mgmt
