How to confirm if there is any Non-WiFi interference seen by AP?

 

 

Answer

Environment: this is valid for all APs and IAPs

 

 

We can run below command 

(Aruba) #show ap debug radio-stats ap-name <name of AP>  radio < 0 or 1 > | include beacon

Tx Time perct @ beacon intvl        0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 

 

Ch Busy perct @ beacon intvl        46 46 46 46 46 46 46 46 46 46 47 47 47 47 47 47 47 47 47 47 47 47 47 47 47 47 47 47 47 47 

 

Rx Time perct @ beacon intvl        0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 3 3 3 3 3 3 3 3 3 3

 


Channel can be busy due to WiFi or Non-WiFi interference
 

 

channel busy = (Wi-Fi + non-Wi-Fi )
 

 

(Rx or Tx Percentage )  caused due to Wi-Fi interference
 

 

hence, non-Wi-Fi interference = channel-busy - (Rx or Tx Percentage )  

For IAP we need to use below command

# show ap debug radio-stats < 0 or 1 > | include beacon
