Question: How to convert 800 to 800E?

To convert 800 to 800E, login to shell mode and execute the following command:
# cd /mswitch/bin
# platid -c A8E
model number is 02; format is 3
System Serial# : A10001280
Optical Card : Absent
SC Assembly# : 2000008C (Rev:10.02)
SC Serial# : C00014134 (Date:09/20/06)
# platid
A800-E#
To convert 2400 to 2400E, use the same procedure and a different "platid":
platid -c
This command turns 800E/2400E back into an 800/2400.
