How to create LLDP profile for AP on Aruba Controllers running AOS 8.x?

MVP
MVP
Requirement:

Aruba controllers or VMware should be running minimum 8.x

Solution:

LLDP is a Layer-2 protocol that allows network devices to advertise their identity and capabilities on a LAN. Wired interfaces on Aruba APs support LLDP by periodically transmitting LLDP PDUs.

Configuration:

From WebUI:

From CLI:

Syntax:

(host) [md] (config) #ap lldp profile <profile>
(host) ^[md] (AP LLDP Profile "<profile>") #receive
(host) ^[md] (AP LLDP Profile "<profile>") #transmit

Example:

(Aruba) [md] (config) #ap lldp profile Test-Aruba-LLDP
(Aruba) ^[md] (AP LLDP Profile "Test-Aruba-LLDP") #receive
(Aruba) ^[md] (AP LLDP Profile "Test-Aruba-LLDP") #transmit

NOTE: This feature can be configured only on Managed Devices (MD), Mobility Master(MM) does not support this configuration.

Verification

(Aruba-MM) *[md] #show ap lldp profile Test-Aruba-LLDP
