How to determine if an AP is configured to do dot1x authentication before being able to pass any IP traffic?

Question: How to determine if an Aruba AP is configured to do dot1x authentication before being able to pass any IP traffic?

Environment:This article applies to AOS version 6.3 or higher

 

Any AP that shows up in the “show ap active” table with the flag “1” is doing 802.1x authentication as shown in the output below:

L = Client Balancing Enabled; M = Mesh; N = 802.11b protection disabled;
P = PPPOE; R = Remote AP; X = Maintenance Mode;
1 = 802.1x authenticated AP; 2 = Using IKE version 2;
