IPV6 support for Captive Portal Whitelist.
Q:

Support for IPV6 Captive Portal Whitelist.

A:

Before 6.5, WLAN admin could only whitelist the hosts that returns IPV4 A records in DNS. Starting 6.5, admin can add an IPV6 netdestination with the domain name that is to be whitelisted and specify this destination as whitelist in the captive portal profile. A new configuration and show command has been included in 6.5 to configure and view IPV6 netdestinations.

Configuration:

(Aruba) (config) #netdestination6 v6whitelist
(Aruba) (config-dest) #name www.yahoo.com

To Verify IPV6 netdestination:

(Aruba) (config) #show netdestination ipv6 v6whitelist
Name: v6whitelist
Position  Type  IP addr  Mask-Len/Range
--------  ----  -------  --------------
1         name  ::b      www.yahoo.com

Below show config displays IPV6 being whitelisted.

(Aruba) (config) #show aaa authentication captive-portal yahoo | include whitelist
White List                                         v4whitelist
White List                                         v6whitelist
