Q:

Is it possible to configure WebCC configuration in legacy controllers like A3000, A6000 controllers?

A:

From 6.4.2.x WebCC is supported only in A72xx and A70xx controllers.

While configuring Webcc on legacy controllers like A3000 and A6000, it will throw the error message "Web Content Classification is not supported for this platform" and it will NOT take effect on these controllers (A3000 and A6000) however this config will be pushed to Local controllers and it will take effect only on A72xx and 70xx controllers present in this network environment.

(Aruba3600) (config) #firewall web-cc

"Web Content Classification is not supported for this platform"

Note: It throws the error message but still allows you to configure the Webcc configuration as shown below:

(Aruba3600) (config-sess-test)#any any web-cc-category games deny

In multi-controller environment the master controller may be A6000 and Local controllers are A72xx controllers. In such case the Webcc configuration is been done on the master(A6000) but this config will take affect only on Local controllers (A72xx or 70xx) NOT in master as this is a legacy controller.
