Controller Based WLANs

N" flag in datapath route cache implies that ARP request has been sent by controller and no reply has been received

Aruba Employee

Question: What does "N" flag indicates in the datapath route cache?

Environment: This article is valid for all the mobility controllers.

If we see "N" flag in  "(Aruba) #show datapath route-cache"

This implies that ARP request for the client has been sent from the controller and ARP response has n't been received yet.

This can help to narrow down the connectivity issue of a wireless client.
