Controller Based WLANs

Telnet/SSH from Controller to another host
Q:

How to SSH/telnet from the Mobility Controller to another host?

A:

ArubaOS 6.5 allows SSH/Telnet session to be initiated from Mobility Controller to another host. The Controller effectively acts like a linux client that allows SSH/Telnet session to another Controller or another non Aruba device.

Limitations:

  • This feature is supported only from the SSH session of the controller.
  • Telnet client supports only IPv4 host.
  • There is an inactivity timeout for the CLI sessions.

From the SSH session on the Controller:

(Controller-7010-2) #telnet admin 10.16.11.33

Entering character mode
Escape character is '^]'.
