Problem:
Users connecting to the remote APs are unable to get into the user-table.
These RAPs are broadcasting couple of SSIDs and one of them is working fine.
The concerned SSID is enabled with wpa2-psk-aes and the controller is acting as the DHCP server for the clients.
No restrictions on the user-role where the users are falling in.
Few users were there in the user-table and most of them are unable to get into the user-table.
On the client's end they are getting the right IP address, however unable to pass any traffic, unable to ping gateway IP etc.
Upon checking the logs, when we filter one of the client's mac, found lot of IP conflict messages, later filtered the user-table verbose with that IP and found that one of the remote AP was assigned with the same IP as the l2tp IP.
This was found to be IP address conflict between the client's user VLAN IP and the l2tp IP range for the RAPs.
Changing the l2tp IP range into a different range than the user network fixed this.
It is always recommended to assign a different IP range for the l2tp pool.
