Using "secondary master" feature when master controller is unreachable

Aruba Employee

•The feature may be helpful in scenario where there in unstable Internet connection

•This feature is only for RAP deployment and not for CAP

•If master is unreachable, IT should troubleshoot.

We have backup-LMS/HA to provide reliability and redundancy. But these mechanisms take effect after AP terminate on controller successfully and get the configuration. When AP boots up, if AP fails to connect to the master, this AP can never be managed.

The feature is to add a secondary master, so when master is unreachable, AP can talk to secondary master and if success, AP can terminate on secondary master.
