Product and Software: This article applies to the RAP-5WN and ArubaOS 5.0 and later only.
The current provisioning logic requires the Ethernet uplink on the RAP to be up and the RAP to have received an IP address via DHCP.
This requirement is not always met in small or home office provisioning scenarios.
Starting Aruba OS 5.0, RAPs can be provisioned using zero touch provisioning and a USB uplink.
For this feature to work, the RAPs must be shipped with a provisioning image of ArubaOS 5.0 or higher. The version can be checked on the LD page shown here:
