What are the scenarios when AP can go in to AM mode?

Environment- Behavior as in 6.4.2.0.

Answer- Below are the common the common scenarios in which an AP comes up in AM mode:
 

  1.        Configured: When AP is configured as AM (rf dot11x-radio-profile <> mode am-mode)
  2.        Mode Aware ARM: ARM turns off excess APs.
  3.        Regulatory mis-match or un-supported:

    a.When there is no channel available for the AP’s Operation for that country.

    b.When AP’s has a different country with the controller’s Country.
