What is the database synchronization between primary and standby Mobility Management System?

Aruba Employee

Product and Software: This article applies to all Aruba controllers and MMS 2.0 and later.

When the Mobility Management System (MMS) is configured in high availability (HA), the databases are synchronized between the primary and secondary over a secure tunnel connection.

The databases are synchronized between the primary and standby server with the following frequency:

  1. All configuration- and administration-related database changes are replicated synchronously.
  2. All statistics- and discovery-related database changes are replicated asynchronously with the delay of 1 second.
  3. All reports and floor images are replicated asynchronously every 20 seconds.
