Product and Software: This article applies to all ArubaOS versions, Vocera B2000 badges, and Vocera 4.2.
TCP Genie is a feature that was developed to improve the voice recognition between the Vocera B2000 badges and Vocera server.
TCP Genie is not supported on B1000 badges and Vocera Smartphones. If you are experiencing a total loss of communication between the B2000 badges and the Vocera server, check to see if the B2000 badges are using TCP 5100 - 5199.The workaround is to allow these ports in a specific ACL. The voice ALG at the time of release may not support these sessions. In the badge profile, find an entry called "SysTCPAudioProvider = True". If this option is false, the badge is using the old audio ports.
