What triggers the syntax errors in "audit-trail" or error log?

When a switch boots up, you might see syntax errors appearing in the audit-trail or in the error log (‘show log errorlog all’). This happens if the config file contains lines that need a specific license that you have not loaded yet. 

For example, if you have not enabled VPN (or RAP) but have lines such as "ike authentication PRE-SHARE XXXXXX" in your config file, you will get the following error: 

<cfgm ERRS> Syntax error processing line# 154: ike authentication PRE-SHARE XXXXXX 

This behavior typically happens when the master switch is configured with a license and tries to push its config to a local where this specific license is not configured.
