When do we get this error message: Jul 3 13:17:48 :325048: <ERRS> |authmgr| GSM delete failed for mac-user 00:00:00:00:00:00 with error ?ERROR_HTBL_KEY_NOT_FOUND'

Aruba Employee

Environment         Standalone master controller running 6.3 AOS.

GSM is Global Shared Memory,  a internal storage for user state.

This mac address will be typically coming from VPN-related users. The user is not L2 connected to the controller.
When the VPN user logged out and clean-up against such mac address is going to be failed which triggers this error message which is just a note.

We set the global user idle and captive portal auth. user idle timeout to 180sec.

Clinets are connected via 3rd party AP through L2 VLANs to controller wired port.

When the client roam from on AP to another, which maps to wired VLAN 237 to 236.

The client seemed not to be aged out in time.

We got the same error message, but the client was connected via L2 VLAN.

What's the possible reason? (for the client table not aged out in time)

#show arp | include 10.2.36.106
