Question:  Why am I unable to see the call quality and active call stats of Siemens optiPoint WL2 professional phones on an Aruba controller even after installing a voice license?

 

Product and Software: This article applies to the voice awareness and interoperability of Aruba with Siemens WL2 phones.

 

The Aruba controller can detect the calls and gauge the quality of calls, keep track of the active calls when a voice license is installed.

 

The Aruba controller is able to detect SIP and h323 calls. However, though the Siemens phones use H323 for their calls, they use H225 for the registration process.

 

Therefore, the Aruba controller is not able to detect the call setup process of Siemens phones. Currently, the Aruba controller is not voice aware with Siemens optiPoint WL2 phones.
