Why is AP-125 temperature shown in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit?

Jul 09, 2014 07:05 PM

Product and Software: This article applies to all Aruba controllers and ArubaOS 3.3.1.0.

In the product specifications for the AP-120 series APs, the normal operating temperature range is listed as 0 - 50 degree Celsius (32F to 122F).

When you poll an AP-125 with the following command:

Aruba#show ap debug system-status ap-name <AP-name>(or)

Aruba# show ap debug system-status ip-addr <IP-addr> | begin Temp

The result, beginning with the keyword "Temperature", is:

Temperature

-----------

74 C

The output shows Celsius, however, this is incorrect. The output should have the letter F indicating Fahrenheit and not Celsius, since the overall room temperature is about 72F. This bug has been fixed in 3.3.1.14.
