Controller-less WLANs

Can I change the URL for Aruba Instant captive portal from “instant.arubanetworks.com” to another domain?

Product and Software: This article applies to all Aruba Instant platforms and versions.

Unlike the Aruba controller, Aruba Instant does not support changing the captive portal URL by uploading a certificate. For the captive portal and web interface, the default self-signed "instant.arubanetworks.com" is used and this cannot be modified. Mapping a custom certificate for a web server is not supported with Aruba Instant. The certificate that is uploaded to Instant is used only for 802.1X authentication.

Hi!

Is this still valid in newer versions?

I think it's not - now you can upload a custom certificate also for Captive Portal (which is also used for WebUI) use.
