Controller-less WLANs

Can we make configuration changes through Aruba Instant (IAP) command line Interface?

Environment : This article applies to all the IAPs running a minimum OS version of 6.2.1.0-3.3.0.0.

Prior to IAP OS version 6.2.1.0-3.3.0.0, we could make configuration changes only through IAP’s WebUI. There was no provision of making changes through the CLI.

From 6.2.1.0-3.3.0.0 onwards, we can make the changes through the CLI as well through CLI commit model. The configuration changes will take effect only after the “commit apply” command is executed. Also, configuration changes are allowed only on master.

It is recommended to break large configuration into smaller configuration with commits in between.

Following are the different command under commit:

Commit apply: To commit all uncommitted configuration.
Commit revert: Discard the entire uncommitted configuration.
Show uncommitted configuration: Displays uncommitted configuration.
