Environment : This article applies to all Aruba Instant platforms and versions.
Similar to the Aruba Controller, an Aruba Instant AP (IAP) that is functioning as a virtual controller is able to check the code running on incoming IAPs that are joining the swarm. If there is a code mismatch, the incoming IAP should upgrade the code first. The slave IAP upgrades the code to its non-default partition and reboots. When the slave is running the same code as the master, the configurations are synched.
From the AP console:
wifi1: AP type AP-105, radio 1, max_bssids 8
wifi1: Atheros 9280: mem=0x10000000, irq=48 hw_base=0xb0000000
cat: /tmp/master: No such file or directory
