Dynamic CPU management and configuration

Introduction : Supported IAP running 6.2.1.0-3.4.0.1 and above

Dynamic CPU management helps to reserve some CPU for control / management plane functions when serving high data traffic

 

Feature Notes : Feature aims to keep an average idle CPU of 5%, by doing TCP Traffic shaping, Dropping non-TCP traffic Control and Management packets are never dropped

 

Configuration Steps :

 

UI configuration:

System->general->show advanced options

Automatic: Default value where CPU management is enabled or disabled automatically when required

 

 

 

Always Enabled in all APs: Can be enabled in networks with high client density 

 

 

 

Always disabled in all APs: Can be disabled to ensure highest throughput with any configuration
