How do I convert an IAP to standalone using the CLI?

Jul 04, 2014 05:17 PM

Question: How do I convert an IAP to standalone using the CLI?

Product and Software: This article applies to all Aruba Instant platforms and versions.

Bring up the Aruba Instant AP (IAP) on the network so that it gets the configuration from the IAP that is acting as the virtual controller. Then you can configure the IAP in "standalone" mode at the apboot prompt by issuing the following command:

apboot> setenv standalone_mode 1
apboot> save

apboot> printenv
bootdelay=2
baudrate=9600
autoload=n
