Controller-less WLANs

How many internal database entries can be made in IAP OS version 6.2.1.0-3.3? What could be the possible caveats because of this?

Environment : This article applies to all the IAPs running a minimum of OS version 6.2.1.0-3.3

From OS version 6.2.1.0-3.3, we can have up to 512 entries in the Internal Server. Prior to this, we could only have 256 entries in the Internal database.

This enhancement may have increased the number of entries in the database, but it has also increased the chances of the config file going beyond 60k. Whenever the config file goes beyond 60k, the IAP automatically compresses it before saving in the flash. However, please keep in mind, once the configuration is compressed in the flash, downgrading to an older version will result in configuration loss.

In cases where a downgrade is inevitable, please do not forget to get a copy of the configuration before downgrading so that the lost configuration can be rebuilt.
