How to exclude range of IP addreses in the DHCP server on Instant AP?

Environment : This article applies to Aruba Instant Access Points running Aruba InstantOS.

Usually, addresses are reserved for network hosts or clients that need static addresses, such as servers, routers and printers. These IP addresses are not included in the address pools that are available for assigning to other clients.

The DHCP Server on Instant AP also comes in with an option to exclude IP address range. Following steps show how to configure a local DHCP server on IAP and exclude an IP address range:

1. Login to Instant web interface
2.
From the main menu, point to "More" and Select "DHCP Server"

In the above example, the Excluded address is : 192.168.201.26.

This will exclude addresses from 192.168.201.1 to  192.168.201.26.  Default Gateway should be 192.168.201.27

NOTE:  Based on the size of the subnet, the IP addresses that come before or after the IP address value specified in this field are excluded.
