How to find number of devices in a cluster on Activate using VC information

Mar 07, 2016 05:30 PM

Q:

How to find IAP cluster size on Activate using VC's information?

A:

Activate also plays a major role in finding cluster information such as cluster size, last contact information of the device, activate id, platform information, firmware information, and so on. In a scenario where central becomes un-responsive, WLAN user can actually login into Activate and make sure if all the devices are up with the help of "Device Associated" and "Last Modified" field.

"Device Associated" filed would show the total number of devices in cluster that includes VC and slave. "Last Modified" filed would show the latest Check-in history by VC on activate.
