Environment- This article applies to Instant AP deployment running 3.1.
Answer- PPPoE is now a supported uplink type on Instant AP. This feature is introduced in Instant 3.1 release and is supported on all the IAPs. PPPoE is in the same level as Ethernet and is only triggered when the AP fails to get IP address. If configuration is made; a reload is needed for new PPPoE related configuration to take effect.Only single AP deployments are supported with PPPoE uplink and No uplink redundancy available when PPPoE is used as uplink. Supports PPPoE types are PAP and CHAP.
