Q:

Why does the dpi webcategory-lookup in Instant AP doesn't show up the details in the first time?

A:

When web category lookup is executed for the first time in the instant AP. The Instant AP would reach out to the brightcloud server and would get the category and reputation for the website and cache it in the Instant AP. So, we would see output as “Request sent for CLOUD LOOKUP, please try again.”

Below is the sample output for the same:

c8:b5:ad:c7:85:b8# show dpi webcategory-lookup www.facebook.com

Input URL: www.facebook.com

Request sent for CLOUD LOOKUP, please try again.

When the web category lookup is executed for the second time. Instant AP would get the result from the IAPs cache and display it.

Below is the sample output for the same:

c8:b5:ad:c7:85:b8# show dpi webcategory-lookup www.facebook.com

Input URL: www.facebook.com

Found CACHED RESULT:

URL: facebook.com REP: 81 A1: 0, Serial = 0x200001

Index: 0 Category: social-networking-web(14) Confidence level: 93

This is an expected behaviour in the Instant AP.
