Question What does “TYPE” and "LEVEL" field under WIDS event on Aruba Central dashboard signify?
Environment This article applies to all the IAPs running Instant OS version 6.2.1.0-3.3.0.0 or higher and managed by Aruba Central

 

 

The TYPE field under Monitoring> WIDS> WIDS events reflects various detection and protection events. For example,

  • a foreign AP can be detected to be a rogue, interfering, or suspected rogue.
  • detecting various kind of attacks on the network like client attack, infrastructure attack etc.


The LEVEL field under Monitoring> WIDS> WIDS events reflects the severity level of the detected intrusion. The severity level is classified as LOW, MEDIUM, and CRITICAL depending upon the kind of intrusion.
