Controller-less WLANs

When an Aruba IAP becomes a virtual controller, does it continue to serve wireless clients and provide the wireless connection to them?

Environment  :  This article applies to all Aruba Instant versions.

Yes, when an Aruba Instant AP is acting as the virtual controller, the Aruba IAP can still serve the wireless client like any other Aruba Instant AP.

The Aruba Instant virtual controller technology provides security, consistently high performance, scalability, and other enterprise-class network access services without requiring a separate controller at each remote site.

The virtual controller technology utilizes an adaptive, self-organizing, wireless clustering, which enables the WLAN to scale effortlessly.
