Where to check the results of background Spectrum monitor?

In case of concerns with respect to non-wifi interference, it is advisable to run Spectrum Monitor to identify the kind of Non-WiFi interference seen.

 

 

Once an Instant AP has been configured for Background spectrum monitoring, it continues providing service to the client on that channel and also monitors for interferences in the channel.

To view the output of Background spectrum monitor, choose the AP you need see the output for.

Now, in the lower half of the screen, the chosen AP related information can be seen.

On choosing the 2.4 GHz or 5GHz , IAP provides information about the quality of RF channel in the corresponding band.

To get more information about the kind of interference and channel utilization, place the mouse on the interference bar.

This gives information about Wifi and non wifi interference. It also provides information about type of non-wifi devices seen.
