Why is the wireless option grayed out when creating a new network on Aruba Central?

Environment : This article applies to Instant Access Points being managed by Aruba Central.

 

Answer :

 

 

As new requirement arises, adding new SSIDs to an existing network is easy. But, the data capacity decreases as the number of SSID's advertised per AP increases.
This can also result in air traffic congestion, and higher noise floor, which impact on application performance.

 

 

Therefore, for optimum throughput in air, an SSID limit of 6 is applied. And, when the 7th network is being created, the wireless option would be grayed out. 
As shown below:

If one still wants to configure more than 6 wireless networks, then the "Extended SSID" option under System has to be enabled. This configuration is group specific. As shown below:
