AP rebooted unexpectedly

    Hello,

     

    We have an AP that reboot unexpectedly 2-3 times per day.

    Here is the information :

     

    Aruba Operating System Software.
    ArubaOS (MODEL: 305), Version 8.3.0.0
    (c) Copyright 2018 Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP.
    Compiled on 2018-04-28 at 07:13:59 UTC (build 64659) by p4build
    FIPS Mode :disabled

    AP uptime is 1 hour 23 minutes 54 seconds
    Reboot Time and Cause: Reboot caused by kernel panic: Rebooting the AP because of FW ASSERT
     

    What could i do?

    You should upgrade to the latest 8.3.0.2. if it still has a problem, you should open a tac case.

    ArubaOS 8.3.0.12 Release Notes

    Its odd that the notes show this resolved with the 300 series access points but then show it as a known issue for the AP-315.

    Here is the resolved issue:

    AOS-184474 — Symptom: An AP crashed and rebooted unexpectedly. The log file listed
    the reason for this event as kernel panic: Rebooting the AP because
    of FW ASSERT. Enhancements to the wireless driver resolved this issue.
    Scenario: This issue was observed in 300 Series access points running
    ArubaOS 8.2.2.0 or later versions.
