Aruba IAP-204-RW Speed Issue

    Why does one of my IAP-204-RW's only run at 100mbs where another AP runs at 1000mbs using the same switch port?

     

    Ethernet led flashing orange denoting 10/100 Mbps whereas other AP Ethernet led flashing green 1000mbps

    Try swapping the cable between the AP and the switch..

    Also, is the switch POE or are you using injectors, and if you are using an injector, what is the injector model? That should be swapped out/removed as well if you are testing line integrity between switchport and AP.

    The switch is PoE (HP V1910-24G-PoE - JE007A).

     

    Plugging another AP (same model) into same switch port runs at 1000mbps. Hoping its a patch lead between the AP and the switch.

    Hi

    please check

    • the cable between the switch and the IAP
    • the speed of the port (is it  auto or manually configured to 100 mbps or 1 gbps).

    The cable will be changed. I will advise results when done.

     

    The switch port is set to Auto.

    This issue has been resolved.

     

    The cat5 cable wiring was not correct.
