Hello everyone, i just got 3 IAP's setup in my environment and attempted to update the firmware only to be met by "Received no response from server" , my certificate expires Aug 11 of 2017; i saw in another thread if this was expired it wouldnt work.

I can SSH into the IAP's and ping google with no issue, but i still cant reach out for updates.

Current version is 6.4.2.0-4.1.1.0_46028 , they are all IAP 205's

You cannot see the certificate that has expired.  I just sent you a link.

What version of Firmware are you running?  As a possible fix to your problem, you can upgrade to the version here:  http://support.arubanetworks.com/LifetimeWarrantySoftware/tabid/121/DMXModule/661/EntryId/21998/Default.aspx

No.  Please look at the diagram here:

105 is Orion and 103 is Pegasus.

Yes, you need to have an ftp internal address for both.  It must be an anonymous ftp with no username and password.  A  tftp server might be easier, because it doesn't use a password.  Use the format:

    ftp://xx.xx.xx.xx/ArubaInstant....

    tftp://xx.xx.xx.xx/ArubaInstant....

I have the same problem. I succesfully manually updated the access points to the most current software, 6.4.4.0-4.2.3, but the virtual controller still cannot access the update server for some reason. Checked the firewall, I don't think the problem is there,  So what else should I check?

    Thanks!

The code you have is early access code. There is no newer GA code than the one you have.

I understand that, but why would the update server not respond at all?

    Thanks -

That is a good question.  Can you even ping device.arubanetworks.com?
