    Hi A-Heads,

Im facing a problem regarding accessing a certain port, we have this Firewall that holds the Captive portal and we have Aruba AP 205.

The setup we have is Aruba is just an AP no restrictions etc. Our firewall holds all the portal and restriction but after deploying aruba we cant access the Captive portal of our Firewall but we can access the IP of firewall. We cant access the xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8090?

How can i open the port 8090 on aruba?

It is a wireless client on the Aruba Controller that cannot access that port?  What is the role of that client?

Yes, its an employee or a registered user.

our clients can access the firewall (without port) but cant access the port of the captive portal. port 8090 to be specific.

What are the firewall policies attached to that role?  Go to configuration> Security>Access Control.

Yes.  It does not seem like the access point is blocking anything.

But why we cant access the port 8090 of our firewall, that port is used for the captive portal.

Kindly see the attach file for more info.

What is that role applied to? You may need top either post your IAP config or open a TAC case. If the wireless user role is allowall and there's nothing applied to the interface, then it's not likely the IAP blocking, but something may be in the config as it's been modified that is causing an issue, and only TAC or posting the entire config (which is up to you to do) will explain that.

    Hi Jhoward,

I've tested it in other WiFi router but its seems its working very fine, upon connecting to that WiFi our captive portal works perfectly but when on Aruba iAP205 it seems that thier something with sites with port.

BTW what is TAC so we can resolve this immediately.

    Thanks!

    TAC - Technical Assistance Center

Opening a case with Support, done either through your MNP account (

www.hpe.com/networking/support), or by calling support at:

    US & Canada: 1-800-WiFi-LAN
    International Toll: +1-408-754-1200

This board can be helpful, but if it's something not easily run down, or you need more assistance, TAC would be the way to go
