Connect IAP to controller via Mesh

I have a client that currently has a controller with campus AP's. They are about to have some contruction work done and the general contractor has an Aruba IAP that he would like to connect in their construction trailer.

There idea is to use MESH to connect the IAP to the exsisting controller campus AP. Contractor would then take wired port from IAP into their switch.

Before I crank up the lab and try to come up with a config, I thought I'd jump on here and see if anyone has ever done this. Can it be done? If so.... how did you do it?

Thinking this is easier if I just convert the IAP into campus ap and then just do normal mesh portal (campus ap) to mesh point (converted IAP)

When contractor leaves he can just paperclip the IAP back to default.

    Thoughts?

Smart thinking. That’s a solution that’s going to work.

Reset by paper clip will work.

    Hi

AFAIK you can’t mix meshing (controller and instant) together. But I have never build it

If you do get it working in your lab, let us know.
