Just noticed a weird thing ?

6 of the 7 IAP-105's Have a different DHCP Setup according to the System Support Logs

I have been having some weird DHCP Issues So I was Looking around at the System Support Logs

I ran the command : Ap Internal DHCP Status

It Shows that the MAIN or CONTROLER IAP-105 In this case 1-West has the Correct Settings

    192.168.10.0 / 255.255.255.0

    	vlan-id=3333
    	dhcp-range=192.168.10.3,192.168.10.254,255.255.255.0,60m
    	dhcp-option=1,255.255.255.0
    	dhcp-option=3,192.168.10.1
    	dhcp-option=6,208.67.222.222,208.67.220.220
    	dhcp-option=54,192.168.10.1

    However the Other 6 - IAP-105 Show ...

    	vlan-id=3333
    	dhcp-range=172.31.98.3,172.31.99.254,255.255.254.0,12h
    	dhcp-option=1,255.255.254.0
    	dhcp-option=3,172.31.98.1
    	dhcp-option=6,10.1.10.1
    	dhcp-option=54,172.31.98.1

Wondering .. Should not all the iap-105's Show the Same thing ?

The simple answer is that only one IAP can provide DHCP at one time.  Maybe your network is setup differently.

The 172.31.x.x is the internal default DHCP used by the IAP when you select the option of Virtual Controller Assigned network or when you connect to the "instant SSID"

The other one looks like you configured that one?

Are those IAPs part of the same cluster ?

Yes they are on the same cluster ...

    7 - IAP-105's - Connected to a Comcast Business Class Modem On a 8-Port 10/100Mbps PoE Switch - TPE-S80

The simple answer is that only one IAP can provide DHCP at one time.

Yes .. But What Happens when the " Controller IAP" In This Case 1-West Changes to 2-West ?

Will It Use The 1-West Configuration  ?  Or The 2-West Configuration ?

In My Case Shouldn't All Configurations Be The Same ?

It will use whatever the config is on the Master/VC of 2-West , unless that one takes over as the Master/VC

I am Sorry .. I am not sure I understand your response ...

I would like ALL IAP-105's to have the same configuration - 192.16810.0 ..

So if the ( MAIN / Controller / 1-West ) happens to go down

That 2-6 would use the 192.16810.0 - Not the 172.31.98.0

Sorry .. Not sure I am explaining it correctly ..
