    Hi all,

I have a question about the configuration of DHCP Scopes (type Distributed, L2). In the documentation for the field Netmask there is this explanation:

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If Distributed, L2 is selected for type of DHCP scope, specify the subnet mask. The subnet mask and the network determine the size of subnet.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

...but, where is the Network field?!

    Thanks,

    Massimo

Ok, this is quite misleading for me.

Thank you very much for the comprehensive response Victor!

Is there a reason you need L2 DIstributed?  Please consider L3 Distributed.  It is our preferred method unless clients need to be on the same broadcast domain.

    Thanks
