doing some lab testing with the IAP-VPN functionality. starting with the DHCP scope, this works fine when i choose a local DHCP scope. but with the distributed DHCP scope eveything seems to configure fine but the client doesn't receive a DHCP address.

the manual isn't quite clear if a VPN uplink is required (at least once) to get this to work. anyone know for sure?

    Hi,

Yes it is expected behavior. the IAP has to decide the subnet to assign an IP to the client and IAP will get that info from the branch id. Controller will assign the branch id once the VPN is succesfully established.

    For your ref:

thanks dhanraj, it makes sense but couldn't find a final verdict :)

i do assume that after the VPN has been up once you are fine until a reboot or such?
