    Hi:

         I have five IAP-92 in the same network, have two virtual controller? These five IAP have same setting and firmware.

         Which part of me is probably negligible?

         IAP01:192.168.1.81 ------> VC

         IAP02:192.168.1.82

         IAP03:192.168.1.83

         IAP04:192.168.1.84 -------> VC

         IAP05:192.168.1.85

         submask:255.255.255.0 Gateway:192.168.1.254

    does one virtual controller got 4 IAP and the onther VC just got one?

    If that is the case then it migh be, because the IAP is on STAND Alone

    If this is the case take the IAPwhich is on stand alone, console it, and reboot it.

    press enter when its booting up.

    on the apboot

    issue

    clear os

    purgeenv

    saveenv

    reset

    Now connect that IAP to the network, and he will recive all the config from the others and you shoul be able to see one VC

    Cheers

    Carlos

    Hello!

    I really dont know if there is a way to change to mode manually via cli...or GUI ... at least i have not read it...

    What i have done to convert it back to the standard IAP mode is what i said before...

    So jRemenber this is an assumption... i really don tknow if its on stand alone... but it could be IF he is on the same vlan as the other APS and he is on a VC by its own... if its like that then its most likely on stand alone mode...

    BUT if that VC got at least 2 APS then, its not in stand alone and its something else...

    So in summary:

    connect to console to the IAP which is alone on his VC, reset that AP and go in the bootap mode, on the bootap mode do:

    clear os

    purgeenv

    saveenv

    reset

    And then take  that ap which should be on factory default now, and plug it in the network again...

    He will get the config and the firmware from the other Instants APs.

    Cheers

    you should just be able to web onto the problem ap and then clear configuration.

    It is under Maintenance --> Configuration.
