Has anyone else encountered the following error when enabling the acknowledgement capitve portal while using Chrome?

Can anything be done to correct this issue?

try to browse to a non-google page.  I see this a lot, but not sure if there is a way around it.

It will be fine in another browser.

    Hi,

The reason for the error is because news.google.com is accessed via HTTPS. In any captive portal implementation, the networking device have to capture the HTTPS traffic and redirect it to a splash page. As part of this process, it has no choice but to hijack the HTTPS connection. Because HTTPS is a secure protocol specifically designed to detect such hijackings, one will see warnings like this in the browser. It is unfortunately not avoidable, one of the few imperfections in all captive portal implementations :)

    Thanks,

    Yan

yes true.  Unfortunately in Chrome, it doesn't give the option to continue like other browsers

If you are doing randomly generated guest accounts, there is no need to use https. Switching to http will solve these issues.
