IAP-105 Not joining cluster

So I've done a bunch of reading and looked at several posts. I cannot find an answer to my issue.

I have two IAP-105-JP. One has been set up with a main SSD and a guest SSD. It has a static IP, auto join is on, it is set to preferred master, plugged into the same switch which has only one VLAN. They have the same firmware.

The other one has a static IP, auto join is on, and it is plugged into the same switch. On the advanced system page, I did not put in the IP of the Virtual Controller.

I have looked at the logs and really do not see anything that jumps out at me.

So what do I need to do to the unconfigure IAP-105-JP to have it join with the configured one.

    Thank you in advance

You should try making the second AP DHCP if possible.

Set it to DHCP. Rebooted IAP.

How long does it take to auto join?

    Been about 30 minutes.

Can you ping the AP?  SSH into the AP when you can ping it and type "show log system" to see what is happening to it....

So I did a reset and still not joining. I changed the admin password to match the master.

    I left everyhting else alone.

Are they are on the same subnet?  It seems like that AP does not "see" any other APS.

Yes it is the same subnet. They are both plugged into the same Dell POE switch. There are no VLANs.

The only thing that I can think of is that you have the subnet mask configured wrong on the first AP, so it cannot see the second one.  I would try making them both DHCP...

So I set the mainAP to DHCP, rebooted it. Once it came up I rebooted the slaveAP. Still not joining.

I would ping one AP from another to see if they can reach each other.

I was able to SSH into them both and ping the other one with no issues

So today I reset both IAPs not just the one I am tring to get joined.

They both came back up joined. Not sure what was going on with the main one but I guess it wasn't allowing the other one to join.

I reset up the SSIDs, password, and guest network.

    They are workign great together.

Thank you for all your help.
