    Posted Mar 23, 2016 10:11 PM

I have IAP115 with the firmware version 6.4.2.6-4.1.1.8_50989, all wireless G mobile client not able connect to this AP. It was all perfect before I do firmware upgrade. The SSID is with WPA Personal Security. I have also tested with wireless without security, the mobile client also not able to connect.

Please advise what should I do. Below is the screenshot to show wireless G client not able to connect.

What VLAN are you trying to put the device on?  Is that VLAN trunked to the AP?

I have already trunked VLAN100 to the IAP115. Anything else should I take note?

Is there a DHCP server on VLAN 100?  Is VLAN 100 defined in your SSID configuration?

Yes, there is DHCP server on VLAN100. Those wireless client with the latest AC or AN, can connect with DHCP obtained without any problem. Only those wireless G client not able to connect.

What does your SSID configuration look like?

Did you configure anything under advanced or change anything from the defaults?

Maybe you should upgrade to the latest GA version?

The client has a low signal strength

Actually I have tried to upgrade the IAP 115 to the latest version GA, it is because I have upgraded the AP, only it has this issue. I tried to downgrade the IAP 115 again is to try if the issue still the same. In the end, it still the same. In further, I have found out that the latest GA version 2.4GHz frequency is not as strong as the previous firmware. Please advise.

    ?

What are you using to measure "frequency"?

I'm using mobile device to detect the 2.4GHz wireless frequency.

Let's go back to the beginning:

You said "I have IAP115 with the firmware version 6.4.2.6-4.1.1.8_50989, all wireless G mobile client not able connect to this AP. It was all perfect before I do firmware upgrade."

To be clear, are you saying that NO wireless clients can connect since the upgrade, or just a specific wireless client?

  • 13.  RE: IAP 115 Wireless G client not able to connect

    Posted Mar 28, 2016 04:46 AM

To be clear is only Wireless G client not able to connect, all those wireless AN or AC clients has no issue on connecting the AP. Wireless G client can connect to the IAP 115 before the firmware upgrade to the latest GA version.

Okay.  PM me your email address and I will send you the latest firmware we have.  AP-115s are approved for Malaysia country code, for what I can see.
