IAP 205 Time Range not working

Hello,

I have IAP 205s version 6.4.4.8-4.2.4.6_58505

I am trying to set up an SSID for use only on this Friday from 4p-11p.  I thought I set it up correctly, but when I test it and try to connect to it, it allows me to connect when it shouldn't.  I was hoping it would only let me connect during the time I specified?

 

In the UI I went to System>Advanced Options>Time Based Services.  I created an Absolute profile for 5/5/17 16:00 to 23:00.  I then went to edit the SSID>Show Advanced options>Edit Time Range Profiles> Enable the profile I created earlier.

 

Am I missing a step?

Hi Colin,

Yes, I used that article to set up the time range.  when I do a show time range in the CLI I see this:

 

# show time-range

Current Time     :2017-05-03 07:25:33
Time Range Summary
------------------

------------     ----      ---------   ----------  -------     --------  -----

Do you see something I am missing?

You need to disable the SSID.  The SSID then will only be enabled during the time range:

Ahhh...so in the edit SSID >Show Advanced Options check the SSID: disable box (next to the hide box)?

 

Then the time range setting will over-ride the disabled setting?
