    Hello,

We have recently purchased several Aruba IAP-205H models for use in our remote sites. At some of the sites we need to connect the IAP-205H to the campus site via 4G USB modem. In our older RAP-155 models we used to set the 4G USB settings with the following CLI command on the controller:

    conf t
    provision-ap
    read-bootinfo ap-name "RAP-155Name"
    usb-type huawei-cdc
    usb-dev 0x12d11506
    cellular_nw_preference auto
    link-priority-cellular 8
    link-priority-ethernet 1
    reprovision ap-name "RAP-155Name"

My question therefore is what would I use for the usb-dev code in the case of the IAP-205H ?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Regards Peter

Are you using them as IAPs or RAPs?

    Hi Tim,

We will be using them as RAPS, to coonnect up to the central Campus Controller.

Is your controller on 6.5? This new version allows for autoconfiguration of
    most LTE modems.

    Hi Tim,

Our controller runs on version 6.4X, but would be able to upgrade to 6.5 during the next service window.
